En particulier, de quelle vision culturelle une telle distinction est-elle l’expression ? À partir de la réflexion de Peterson sur la nature et le statut de la théologie, cet essai se propose d’éclairer la forme chrétienne d’une parole d’autorité, d’en dégager la structure générale et les implications en termes de conduite de vie. Il se concentre sur la définition de la dogmatique chrétienne. À partir de ce point, une frontière précise peut être tracée entre politique et religion. Mais c’est sous la seule condition qu’un espace juridique se détermine dans la seconde comme lieu de formation de jugements théologiques. Ces considérations permettent de revenir sur le débat entre Schmitt et Peterson du point de vue, non de la possibilité ou de l’impossibilité d’une théologie politique chrétienne comme on le fait d’ordinaire, mais du point de vue de la facture juridique des concepts théologiques.
520			_af the distinction between power and authority is of common use in social sciences, its presuppositions are not so frequently considered. In particular, what cultural perception conveys such a distinction ? In light of Peterson’study about nature and status of theology, this paper intends to clarify the Christian form of a word of authority, to highlight its overall structure and its implications for behaviour. It concentrates on the definition of Christian dogmatics. From this point, an exact border can be drawn between politics and religion, but on condition that a juridical space is defined in the latter as a space for the formation of theological judgments. These reflections allow to reopen the debate between Schmitt and Peterson, not from the point of view of possibility or impossibility of a Christian political theology as it is usually seen, but from the point of view of the juridical making of the theological concepts.
