On examine ensuite l’interprétation leibnizienne de la création continuée, en la confrontant à l’arrière-plan scolastique et cartésien, ce qui permet de parvenir à la thèse selon laquelle les monades existent tout entières à chaque moment de leur durée. | ||

I try to show how Leibniz has the resources to get out of this quandary. The analysis of the concept of extension shows that a plurality of states does not constitute a divisible aggregate. Then I examine the Leibnizian interpretation of continued creation, by comparing it to the scholastic and Cartesian Background.
