Les assurances métaphysiques font place aujourd’hui à une rationalité plus souple et plus ouverte, critique et herméneutique, cependant que les Écritures bibliques renvoient moins à un savoir doctrinal qu’à la transmission d’expérience(s) historique(s) et spirituelle(s). Aussi est-il possible d’envisager une reconnaissance sans confusion entre l’homme de foi (biblique) et l’homme de raison (philosophique), chacun recueillant à sa manière les apports qui lui viennent de l’autre. Il est d’ailleurs permis de se demander si cette provocation mutuelle ne pourrait pas finalement déborder les limites du cadre européen pour s’étendre aux débats interculturels de notre monde | ||

Metaphysical assurances today give way to a more flexible and more open, critical and hermeneutical rationality, while Scripture refers less to doctrinal knowledge than to the transmission of historical and spiritual experience(s). It is thus possible to envisage a mutual acknowledgment, without confusion, between the man of (biblical) faith and the man of (philosophical) reason, each in his own way drawing from the other’s contributions. It is also possible to ask whether this mutual provocation could eventually overflow the limits of the European setting to expand to the intercultural debates of our world. | ||
