520 | _aIn the context of increasing use of social networks, the forms and tools of activism are rapidly changing. This article examines the figure of the “activist Instagrammer” and the info-communication issues raised by this figure. Using Olivier Blondeau’s concept of “activist mediascapes” we present the results of an ethnographic investigation into the fight for bodily diversity in French-speaking Belgium. By highlighting the complexity of the dynamics at play and the multitude of actors involved this article offers an unconventional reading of the movements under consideration. | ||
