520			_aLa profession de l’assistant familial s’insère dans un dispositif de protection de l’enfance qui l’intègre au sein d’une équipe dont les rôles sont différenciés. Cette profession n’est pas un travail très ordinaire. Les exigences de la fonction et la responsabilité renvoyée peuvent parfois supplanter ce que l’on attend d’une profession et depuis quelques années il n’y a plus assez de candidatures. C’est pour pallier la disparition de ce métier que le ministère a mis en place un groupe de travail.

The demands of the role and its inherent responsibilities can sometimes go beyond what is expected from a job, and for several years there have been insufficient applicants. A ministerial working group has been set up in France with a view to preventing the decline of the profession.
