520 _aGame of Thrones is a widely popular series which has been at the center of media attention not only due to its quality and widespread fandom, but also for its highly controversial representations of sexuality, violence, women and diversity. This article explores how cosplayers address these representations through their practices. Through ethnographic fieldwork and interviews, we study Game of Thrones cosplayers’ behavior at The MCM London Comic Con in 2016 and 2017. Our results show that when at conventions, Game of Thrones cosplayers not only recreate but also remodel and expand the fictional universe beyond the limits of the franchise.
