520			_aÀ partir des années 80, la politique économique en coordination avec les préceptes du consensus de Washington portant sur la déréglementation, la privatisation et le libre marché s’oriente sur l’ouverture, l’intensification commerciale et sur l’attraction de flux productifs depuis l’étranger dans la majorité des pays de l’Amérique Latine. Cette stratégie de développement économique a permis une entrée importante d’IDE américain dans la région. L’objectif de ce travail est d’estimer l’effet à long terme du rapatriement (ou non) des profits issus de l’Investissement Direct Étranger (IDE) sur l’ensemble de ces économies d’après une méthodologie de co-intégration de panel. Le rapatriement des bénéfices des IDE impacte négativement l’activité économique de la région, principalement dans le domaine de l’emploi, de la dépense publique, de la R&D et de l’éducation. Finalement, une réflexion étatique dans la rétention des profits des IDE dans l’optique de favoriser la croissance économique de ces pays serait à réaliser.
520			_aBeginning in the 1980s, economic policy, in coordination with the Washington Consensus precepts of deregulation, privatization and the free market, is oriented towards the opening, commercial intensification and attraction of productive flows from foreign countries in the majority of Latin American countries. This strategy of economic development has enabled an important entry of US FDI into the region. The objective of this work is to estimate the long-term effect of the repatriation (or non-repatriation) of foreign direct investment (FDI) profits on all of these economies according to a co-integration methodology of the panel. The repatriation of the benefits of FDI impacts negatively the economic activity of the region, mainly in the field of employment, public expenditure, R&D and education. Finally, a state-wide reflection on the retention of the profits of FDI in order to promote the economic growth of these countries would have to be realized.
