520			_aL’article distingue trois représentations contemporaines de l’enfant : l’enfant déficient dont la volonté (anormale ou indisciplinée) est à corriger, ensuite des années 40 aux années 80, la figure de l’enfant expressif portée par la psychanalyse, enfin, l’enfant acteur et handicapé, promu par les neurosciences cognitives. Ces trois figures forment les différents paramètres de l’idéal du potentiel caché appliqué aux enfants. Elles constituent diverses façons de définir les troubles, leurs origines, leurs significations et la solution à y apporter. Enfin, l’article montre comment elles peuvent se rencontrer dans l’approche en termes de « compétences psychosociales ».

These three figures constitute the different parameters of the ideal of hidden potential applied to children. They constitute different ways of defining disorders, their origins, their meanings and the solution to be brought to them. Finally, the article shows how they can meet in the approach in terms of "psychosocial skills".
