520			_aCet article explore le corpus de textes consacrés par Marcel Gauchet à l’éducation et à l’enfance, à l’aune de son œuvre globale. Une première partie présente chronologiquement des textes permettant de percevoir son élaboration progressive d’une image de l’enfant dans la modernité démocratique. Une seconde partie montre que c’est par le prisme des vulnérabilités de l’autonomie, qui précipitent dans le rapport à l’enfant, qu’une sagesse renouvelée de l’enfance peut s’esquisser. L’apport d’une telle démarche à une sagesse de l’individualisme et à un humanisme renouvelé est synthétisé pour conclure.
520			_aThis article explores a set of texts written by Marcel Gauchet and devoted to education and childhood, in view of his overall work. In the first part, some texts showing his progressive elaboration of an image of the child in democratic modernity are chronologically presented. In the second part, we show that a renewed childhood-related wisdom can be sketched out through the prism of vulnerabilities of autonomy, which precipitate in the relationship to the child. To conclude, the contribution of this approach to a wisdom of individualism and a renewed humanism is synthesized.
