It permits several elements to be linked: a drawing that allows the child to situate himself within his filiation; the narrative of the family history as told by the child and his family; as well as the affects which are sustaining this narrative. Through this linking, the genogram allows a work in depth on the child’s relational environment and on the parent’s place.
