520			_aL’article tente d’éclairer un monde en transformation – le monde rural – et d’en délimiter les contours et les problématiques. L’action sanitaire et sociale qui est mise en place doit accompagner depuis plus de quarante ans une évolution profonde des territoires et des espaces de vie, qui voit la « campagne » se réduire au profit d’une périurbanisation. Ces modifications de l’espace, mais aussi des modes de vie, engendrent des problématiques nouvelles et spécifiques comme la mobilité. Comment les travailleurs sociaux s’emparent-ils de ces évolutions, et des enjeux qui les accompagnent ? Cet article introduit donc la problématique générale du présent numéro.

Social and health intervention has been obliged to accompany this profound evolution of these territories and life spaces that has seen the “country” diminish and be replaced by peri-urbanisation.
