520			_aLorsqu’on évoque les milieux populaires, on les imagine assez systématiquement dans les quartiers déshérités des grandes villes. Cet élément contribue sans aucun doute à l’invisibilité sociale des classes populaires rurales. La recherche présentée a été réalisée auprès de populations agricoles et non agricoles. Elle analyse les problématiques auxquelles elles sont confrontées, les difficultés vécues par ces usagers des services sociaux. Et, à travers les multiples figures de « petites gens » rencontrées, se dessinent des destins sociaux inscrits dans un processus de reproduction. Dans ce contexte, la spécificité du travail social peut être caractérisée par trois missions principales : faire accéder aux droits, représenter l’État social, avoir un rôle de veilleur social. Ces spécificités, mais aussi l’approche de ces histoires de vie par le concept de reproduction sociale, interrogent le contenu des formations en travail social, ainsi que la formation continue des professionnels en milieu rural.
520			_aWhen the subject of the working classes is brought up they are usually thought of as living in urban deprived areas. This is undoubtedly one reason why rural working classes and poor are invisible. The research presented here was carried among agricultural and non-agricultural groups. It analyses the problems they are confronted with, the difficulties experienced by users of social services. And while studying the many forms of “humble people” encountered, it describes social destinies that are part of a process of reproduction. In this context, the specificity of social work can be described by its three main missions: access to social rights, representing the Welfare State and carrying out a monitoring role. These specificities and the way social workers develop a particular approach to this kind of life history through the concept of social reproduction, raise questions about the content of training in social work both in initial and ongoing training programs.
