The study intends to show how Amelot chooses the tool of translation not to defend a political position of its own (whether it be the defense of “reasons of state” or a proto-republicanism) but to build a singular legitimacy in the use of a political knowledge that the translator would be better able to illustrate than any other scholar thanks its ability to shed light on obscure texts. | ||
