Orphée part à sa recherche dans le monde des ombres et les dieux, séduits par son chant, laissent la nymphe percer à l’orée de la nuit. Mais la force subversive du regard le trahit et Eurydice disparaît une deuxième fois définitivement. La disparition survient comme métamorphose limite, qui est comme le négatif de l’accident mythique qui a instauré le monde et mis le temps en marche.

Orpheus sets off to seek her in the world of shadows and, enchanted by his singing, the gods allow the nymph to break through the curtain of night. But Orpheus is betrayed by the subversive force of his gaze and Eurydice disappears a second time, for good. Disappearance occurs as an extreme form of metamorphosis, like the negative side of the mythical accident through which the world was established and time set into motion.
