CWS suffer from difficulties in speech as well as linguistic problems. The characteristics of mothers’ language ( motherese) addressed to a stuttering child is compared with the motherese of control mothers and with that of mothers whose child presents a delay in language development. The Motherese of CWS does not cause or contribute to the child’s speech and language problems. | ||
