520			_aRésuméEn Bretagne, de 1960 à 2000, l’essor de l’habitat pavillonnaire a été soutenu par l’aspiration à une architecture censée perpétuer des valeurs identitaires par ailleurs malmenées. Depuis une décennie, délaissant ce registre, la promotion de la maison individuelle s’appuie au contraire sur des modèles géométriques, dépourvus de tout décor, naguère considérés comme négateurs des particularités. Ce qui conduit à s’interroger sur les mécanismes qui actionnent le désir en matière domiciliaire et sur les intentions des pouvoirs publics lorsqu’ils entendent les orienter.
520			_aThe past as a home for today ?From 1960 to 2000 the development of individual house building in Brittany was boosted by an architectural style that was supposed to convey an otherwise threatened identity. In the last decade, on the contrary, the promotion of the individual home has rested on the kind of geometric unadorned shapes that were once regarded as a negation of local identity. This must encourage us to question the mechanisms behind the desire for an individual home and the intentions of the authorities as they strive to respond to this desire.
520			_aZusammenfassungZwischen 1960 und 2000 lässt sich in der Bretagne der Trend zum Bau von Häusern im Pavillonstil beobachten ; architektonisch wurde dieser Trend von dem Bestreben unterstützt bestimmte Identitätsmerkmale zu bewahren. Seit rund 10 Jahren ist man davon abgekommen und der Bau von Einfamilienhäusern orientiert sich jetzt an schlichten, dekorlosen geometrischen Formen, die die einstigen Besonderheiten verneinen. Welche Mechanismen die Vorlieben im Hausbau prägen und welche Absichten von öffentlicher Seite dahinter stehen, hinterfragt der vorliegende Artikel.
