520			_aRÉSUMÉ Cet article s’interroge sur l’imbrication des temporalités telles que les ont vécues les soldats du contingent appelés en Algérie. Y eut-il dans cette expérience de la guerre et dans la particularité de son rapport au temps (temps dilaté de l’ennui hors du combat, temps précipité des embuscades, réflexion sur l’inscription dans l’histoire des guerres qu’ont connues les aînés, parents et grands-parents) une spécificité qui autorise à parler d’identité générationnelle ? La prégnance de l’âge d’incorporation, 20 ans, les traces physiques et psychiques laissées sur ces hommes jeunes, le silence et la transmission mémorielle sont autant de facteurs qui fondent un héritage commun, partagé par toute une génération, par-delà la diversité des expériences, par-delà aussi leur caractère personnel et intime.
520			_aABSTRACT This article questions the interweaving of temporalities as the conscripts soldiers, during the French-Algerian War, lived them. Was there in this war experience and its characteristic relation to time (distended time of boredom out of the fighting, hurried time during the ambushes, reflection about one’s place in the history of wars which the elders, parents and grandparents, knew), a specificity which allows to talk about a generational identity ? The importance of the age of enlistement, twenty years old, the physical and psychic aftermath for these young men, silence and memorial transmission have built a common legacy, shared by a generation, despite the differences between experiences, despite also their private and intimate feature.
