520			_aRÉSUMÉ Le présent article tente de déterminer les principales étapes par lesquelles le concept de théologico-politique s’est imposé dans l’historiographie au cours du XXe siècle. Si l’œuvre de Carl Schmitt est évidemment essentielle, une grande attention a été également portée à la polémique autour de la notion d’augustinisme politique, animée par Henri-Xavier Arquillière et dont Jacques Maritain a tiré les leçons. On observe enfin un nouvel essor du concept théologico-politique après la diffusion de la nouvelle théologie politique incarnée par Johannes-Baptist Metz.
520			_aABSTRACT The present essay aims at specifying the main stages through wich the theologico-political concept became essential in the European historiography during the 20th Century. If the works of Carl Schmitt are fundamental, the French discussion about the legitimacy of the notion of a political augustinism is also crucial – Henri-Xavier Arquillière and Jacques Maritain were its main exponents. Finally, the importance of the theologico-political concept grew after the irruption of Johannes-Baptist Metz’s new political theology.
