Cette communauté, peu visible et souvent réticente à s’exprimer, reste méconnue quant à sa perception de la médiation scientifique et du public. À travers des entretiens semi-structurés, nous soulignons le rôle crucial des institutions dans l’investissement des chercheurs, ainsi qu’une dichotomie entre la perception du public et ses attentes, et les objectifs de communication des chercheurs, que nous lions à la dimension controversée de ce domaine de recherche. | ||

As researchers in this field have little public visibility and are often reluctant to speak out, little is known about their attitudes toward public engagement or their perception of the public. Through semi-structured interviews with scientists working in cognitive neurosciences with non-human primates, we highlight the role of institutions in researchers’ engagement as well as the dichotomy between perceptions of the public and researchers’ communication objectives, which we link to the controversial dimension of this research field. | ||
