520 _aWhile reading reference books is a fundamental dimension of professional training in special education, one often forgets that it is also a daily activity in the practice of the profession, as in the case of writing and reading the logbook. The profession of educator could be considered a “theoretical profession,” because we can only see and hear in a relationship what we can understand intellectually, writing being always the inscription of a reading.
