520 _aIn this article, we study how the HR function could evolve in the era of digital transformation, particularly in terms of its operational, relational, and transformational roles. HR experts working in a banking company and in an aeronautics company were interviewed in three successive phases using the Delphi method. These experts shared a vision of digitalization (associated with data and continuous digitalized practices) and objectives (primarily operational). While they see the HR function’s role as an advisor in these transformations, they also identify other possibilities (accompanying or driving, depending on the type of company). An empirical typology of HR experts involved in digitalization is proposed in order to understand the expectations and resources of these key players in digital transformation.
