520 _a‪Analysis of a survey conducted among a representative sample of companies in Morocco’s formal sector shows that the provision of continuing vocational training for employees is, on average, very limited and supported by only modest resources. Marked inequalities are evident, to the benefit of large companies and the most highly qualified employees. Companies that operate according to an internal labor-market logic and pursue a dynamic economic strategy are also those that invest the most in continuing vocational training. These results point to the structural weaknesses of an institutional system intended to foster more intensive, more skills-enhancing, and more egalitarian vocational training.‪
