520			_aSince the early 2020s, the Carling platform (Moselle coal basin) has experienced a new structural turning point in its development trajectory. This chemical site has witnessed a multiplication of industrial projects characterized by a common criterion: the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. These decarbonization efforts are reshaping the structural process of reconversion affecting its surrounding territory and have led to the emergence of a new recovery model that seeks to reconcile “green” reindustrialization with territorial (re)development. However, most of these initiatives remain stalled at the project stage, revealing the risk of a dual operational failure of these interconnected objectives of ecological and territorial transitions. This communication therefore aims at clarifying the factors underlying this constrained territorialization of industrial decarbonization imperatives, with particular attention to the contemporary recompositions of proximity relations between industry and territory, and their re-inscription within the long-term development trajectory of this platform.
520			_aLa plateforme de Carling (bassin houiller mosellan) connaît, depuis le tournant des années 2020, une nouvelle bifurcation structurelle de sa trajectoire de développement. Ce site chimique a vu se multiplier les projets industriels caractérisés par un même critère de limitation des émissions industrielles de GES. Ces efforts de décarbonation viennent reconfigurer le processus structurel de reconversion subi par son territoire d’implantation et aboutissent à la structuration d’un nouveau modèle de relance cherchant à concilier réindustrialisation « verte » et (re)développement territorial. La plupart de ces initiatives reste toutefois aujourd’hui bloquée au stade de projet, révélant le risque d’une double mise en échec opérationnelle de ces objectifs connexes de transition écologique et territoriale. Cette communication propose donc d’expliciter les tenants de cette territorialisation contrariée des impératifs de décarbonation industrielle à l’aune, plus particulière, de la réinscription des recompositions contemporaines des relations de proximités entre industrie et territoire dans le temps long de la trajectoire de développement de cette plateforme.
