Yet it seems unable to offer anything to the most severely psychotic patients who do not respond to its rehabilitation and re-education programs. Assuming a psychodynamic approach to psychosis and a therapeutic project for these patients, the Gerville pavilion, a psychiatric aftercare facility for severely affected chronic psychotic patients, offers dechronicization care and the lifting of psychotic inhibition for so-called deficit patients. A clinical vignette illustrates this work. | ||
