Interviews with French people living in Moscow and elsewhere in Russia reveal the highly individual nature of experiences during their studies and professional careers. Proceeding on a case-by-case basis, the interview format provides in-depth insights into their representations of mobility and the factors underlying their choices. Initial results show that “typologization” is not the best indicator of professional or individual dynamics among these French families in Russia; rather, the individual factors at work require close examination to influence policy in a dynamic approach—the main contribution of this study. | ||
