520 _aThis article sets out to deconstruct the notion of success in joining the world of work by contrasting the actual route followed by learners with the ideal one presented in the ISP plan embodied in the law of 27 April 1995. Here we are following up the findings of a study entitled “What idea do people studying to improve their literacy form of their courses as a way into work ? Challenges and issues for the ISP-Alpha area of education.” The study shows that the passage towards work taken by such learners is anything but straightforward. We shall also demonstrate the gap that exists between notions of time that pervade industrial society and the time in which learners and those on courses live.
