Wielded as a true weapon of war, these political rapes are mainly aimed at women, but spare neither men nor children. Condemned by international law, these acts remain unpunished. Eradicating acts of rape implies taking an interest in the local circumstances that generate them and proposing a political, sociological, and cultural response that goes far beyond the question of gender.
