L’écriture des Années, cependant, fait passer l’interprétation des événements non seulement par la conjonction de l’anachronique et de l’hétérogène, mais par celle de l’intime et de l’histoire. La séquence Mai 68 des Années se révèle exemplaire de cette méthode : différée et déplacée, la mort du père, survenue en 1967, traverse la mémoire de la femme des ekphraseis photographiques et filmiques – et s’inscrit en creux dans l’évocation de l’événement historique.
