The Commentary on the Sentences is the only known work by Halifax that has survived. It reveals some of the philosophical and theological tendencies that arose in the 14th century. In line with the other questions in this Commentary, the Prologue also reflects Halifax’s focus on the human will, a topic widely debated by his contemporaries. | ||
