520 _aWhile Big Data and artificial intelligence are taking the healthcare sector by storm, revolutionizing medical practices (diagnostic and curative) amid much fanfare, both in the scientific community and among the general public, their use in the management of healthcare facilities remains highly confidential. In a constrained budgetary context, these large volumes of data and their processing could transform hospital governance by providing hospital directors with relevant information and expert decision-making tools. However, a survey of French hospitals, with forty respondents, shows that the use of these technologies for management purposes is still in its infancy. Hospital managers, however, see it as a mechanism to facilitate their future decision-making. JEL codes: G39, I18.
