520 _aReceptionists’ motivation and organizational commitment are a concern for hotel management, as they reflect the establishment’s image in the eyes of its guests. These two concepts have long attracted the interest of researchers, but little research has been carried out into the possible links between them. The aim of this study is to reveal possible relationships between the motivational factors defined by self-determination theory and organizational commitment among hotel receptionists. A significant effect of commitment on motivational factors was demonstrated using structural equation modeling. Managerial implications are presented at the end of the discussion.
