Comme pour tout récit photolittéraire, les photographies dérèglent la lecture linéaire par un va-et-vient entre les deux médias ; elles renforcent ici une expérience paradoxale, inquiète et moderne de l’écrire-lire : une expérience et une esthétique des écarts. Les trois régimes de ces photographies renforcent la partition entre le récit familial et le contre-récit d’Annie Ernaux, activent d’autres écarts et mettent en tension la possibilité d’un commun.
520			_aLight Motiv’s 2023 reissue of Annie Ernaux’s L’Autre Fille (first published by Nil in 2011) includes 34 photographs by Nadège Fagoo. As with all photoliterary narratives, the photographs disrupt linear reading by moving back and forth between the two media, reinforcing a paradoxical, restless and modern experience of writing-reading: an experience and aesthetic of gaps. The three regimes of these photographs reinforce the partition between the family narrative and the Annie Ernaux’s “contre-récit”, activating other gaps and tensioning the possibility of a shared common.
