On the theoretical level, it identifies the main properties of linguistic approaches to negotiation, focusing mainly on one model presented in the past by the Geneva school of discourse analysis (cf. Roulet et al., 2001). On the empirical level, it proposes a detailed analysis of one excerpt from a videotaped work session during which two operators working in a pharmacological industry face technical problems and negotiate adequate solutions.
