520 _aWhat are the ethical aspects of the behaviour of men and women who have decided to work closely with users ? What can we learn by examining this behaviour with regard to ethics itself ? Such issues need to be dealt with urgently. For the author, in this case ethics requires effort, perseverance, resistance, loyalty to a founding event and long term action, but can only be fully seen through immediate decisions, behaviour, the present, and both individual and collective deliberative thinking. It differs from moral standards because it questions occupational practice, when simply abiding by the law is not enough or when we have to break the law if we do not want to call into question the dignity of others and by extension also our own dignity. It is therefore not only the complexity of problems, but also the illegitimacy of certain laws which throws ethical issues into the spotlight of social life.
