520 _aThe fear of childbirth (FOC) and antenatal and parenthood education (APE) sessions were evaluated in pregnant women. One hundred and twenty women were included and forty of them participated in APE sessions. The FOC assessment scale was used. The average FOC score is 43.21. This score is significantly higher in primiparas (p = 0.043) than in multiparas. During the prenatal period, the third trimester is the period where the FOC score is significantly the highest (p = 0.02). Participating in the APE sessions did not significantly reduce the level of FOC estimated. Perspectives between FOC and perinatal stress are discussed.
