520 _aThe mission of personal and/or professional development or support professionals is to accompany people in a process of change, in their personal and/or professional repositioning. These roles fall within the field of pedagogical relationships of assistance to others, and require solid socio-affective and particularly pedagogical skills to establish relationships of trust and to identify and promote the potential of those being assisted. In particular, it is the dimension of communication in the relationship with others that is addressed in this article from the perspective of an enabling pedagogy that highlights the relationship with others as a constructive educational relationship that participates in a process of recognition akin to a rebirth: a “re-co-naissance.”
