520 _aSocial entrepreneurship (SE) is an emerging concept that has aroused the interest of researchers, policy makers, and project developers alike. Despite the abundance of work dealing with the theme of SE, very little research has analyzed the social and economic impact of social enterprises (Pärenson 2011; El Ebrashi 2013; Jiao 2011). The aim of this article is to explore the perception of the socio-economic impact of SE by entrepreneurs within social enterprises. To do so, we conducted an empirical study on social enterprises in Southern Morocco. The results obtained show a generally positive perception of the socio-economic effects of ES projects, which confirms the work of other researchers in the field.
