520 _aThis study focuses on prematurely interrupted hospitalizations in a physical withdrawal unit of a neuropsychiatric hospital, in which hospitalizations end before the agreed three-week deadline, or prior to the completion of a discharge project. Previous research has investigated the factors related to hospitalizations that ended against medical advice, which are linked to patient decisions. In addition to the patients’ decisions, our research includes the decisions of the unit’s staff. The results of our research show that different factors can be linked to hospitalizations that end prematurely. The article puts forward interesting observations for the addiction field in order to promote continuity of care.
