Bush is at the helm of global policies which victimize nature and people, especially the poor. The second part says that a follower of Jesus cannot rest content with a purely personalistic, private, a-historical spirituality. Salvation or the Kingdom of God means a new world, experiencing a new history. The disciple is mandated to engage in contributing to create alternatives to the unjust and inhumane world of corporate globalization.
