520			_aL’article a pour objet la dynamique des transformations dans les zones frontalières centre-européennes, après la chute du communisme. Notre micro-perspective est appliquées à trois frontières en Europe centrale (Germano-polonaise, slovaco-hongroise et roumano-bulgare) et cinq couples de villes dont nous analysons les inter-actions. Nous observons que la frontiérisation de l’après-guerre a été suivie de tentatives de refrontiérisation après 1989, à la faveur de processus à la fois top-down et bottom-up qui répondaient à des initiatives centrales ou locales. La plupart des objectifs de coopération transfrontalière ayant été atteints, la refrontiérisation s’est ralentie voire arrêtée.
520			_aThe aim of this article is to investigate the dynamics of border changes in Central Europe after the collapse of communism. It analyzes the interactions of border twin towns. This micro-perspective is applied to three borders in Central Europe (German – Polish, Slovak – Hungarian and Romanian – Bulgarian), and five town pairs. The main observation is that post-war boundarization was followed by re-frontierization attempts after 1989, initiated in both top-down and bottom-up processes, due to the central and local impulses. As many of the desired cross-border goals have already been achieved, the re-frontierization tendency slowed down or even stopped.
