520			_aLa tenue prochaine d’un Synode des évêques consacré à la « nouvelle évangélisation » peut être une occasion propice pour revisiter une série d’enjeux essentiels de la théologie de l’Église, de sa mission et de sa vocation. Il s’agit en effet pour les communautés chrétiennes de s’interroger sur leur aptitude à aborder la question de Dieu dans la langue des hommes d’aujourd’hui. Il s’agit de témoigner d’une certaine originalité anthropologique relationnelle. Il s’agit aussi de penser aux acteurs de cette nouvelle évangélisation, et notamment d’accompagner leur spiritualité et leur formation.
520			_aThe article seeks to demonstrate how the preparation process for the next synodal assembly involved a decisive reinterpretation of the concept of the new evangelisation, by adding the notions of spiritual reform and a relaunch of faith. The synodal meeting is thus regarded as the occasion to inject new energy and vitality into a Christianity that risks «self-secularization» (the words of Benedict XVI). At the core, however, there remain certain structural challenges that, if not confronted, rish weakening the entire strategy that the preparation process for the synod has sought to implement.
