520 _aOn the basis of the debate, still current today, concerning the partnership and the appropriate distance between parents and the school in order to facilitate the children’s education, we sought in this study to identify the dialogue in previous centuries between families and educators on this issue. Based on a qualitative use of archival resources and documents, our study was focused principally on the relationships developed between these adults in the 18th and 19th centuries on the issue of health. Health in fact emerged as a criterion influencing living conditions in educational institutions, parental choices and what they discussed with the educators. The results showed various family-school relations with concerning to health, reflecting social categories, financial opportunities and cultural values.
