520 _aIn a multicultural area, the Baobab offers the resource of a book reception area for children and parents, where families can discover freely the pleasure of books and stories in a playful and friendly atmosphere. With reference to several clinical vignettes, the authors show how nursery rhymes and stories create bridges between languages and promote cultural encounter rather than exclusion. Protected from injunctions, the parents can reflect on the transmission of their language and support one other. In this social and linguistic bath, individual and collective stories converge. In echo with the journey of the characters encountered in the albums, the stories of exile take shape, filiations are inscribed and, through the sharing of bilingual readings, new stories are created.
