Il renvoie dos-à-dos l’athéisme communiste et les théologies de la révolution en les saisissant comme deux faces d’une même hégémonie biblique s’exerçant sur le langage des luttes d’émancipation. Il analyse ensuite la façon dont la construction croisée des concepts de religion et d’aliénation limite la critique du capitalisme et de l’État. La critique terrestre devrait donc être refondée si l’anthropologie qui la soutenait s’écroule.
520			_aThe article shows religious anthropology to be the blind spot in Marxism. It thus explains how Communist « atheism » and Liberation « theologies » are merely two faces of the same Biblical hegemony defining the discourses of liberation struggles. Having analyzed how the reciprocity between the construction of the concepts of religion and of alienation has constrained the critique of capitalism and of the State, it concludes that the emergence of a renovated terrestrial critique would ensue from the collapse of the anthropological foundations which until now have underpinned it.
