| 520 | _aL’espace est de plus en plus mobilisé comme une ressource stratégique, mais peu de recherches analysent les conséquences des nouvelles configurations spatiales. Le présent article propose une synthèse des travaux sur les espaces de travail. A partir d’une étude exploratoire menée dans douze situations, il établit que des standards s’imposent, comme le rassemblement, l’ouverture ou la flexibilisation de l’espace. Cependant, bien qu’elles soient acceptées en tant que normes, ces pratiques et ces configurations spatiales s’accompagnent d’effets indésirables. Elles provoquent des conflits, de la rotation de personnel, de la gêne mutuelle. De plus, elles ne permettent pas de modeler efficacement les frontières de l’organisation ni les processus de travail. Le plus souvent, elles déstabilisent les territoires qui apparaissent pourtant déterminants pour le bon fonctionement des organisations. | ||
| 520 | _aSpace and managementAlthough space is increasingly mobilised as a strategic resource, there are few studies about the consequences of the new spatial configurations. This article provides a review of different conceptions of space in management sciences. In order to establish a first overview of phenomena that can be observed during spatial transformations, twelve cases have been studied. It reveals that standards are emerging, as gathering, open and flexible spaces. These standards are deeply related to the main conceptions of spatial resource, but they cannot plan work processes efficiently nor prevent the occurrence of undesired effects. Territories, which we define as the appropriation of spaces in order to maintain and develop networks of cooperation, play an important role in the structuring of organizations. | ||
