Car comment, dans une société qui l’identifiait à la passivité de sa fonction procréatrice, une femme pouvait-elle légitimement passer à l’acte, prendre la plume ? Soumise à l’autorité d’un homme dont elle porte le nom, faire acte d’autorité? Nombreuses sont celles qui, pour ce faire, mirent leur identité de femme en retrait : anonymat, pseudonyme, retenue d’une expression féminine... Or, on le dit de la femme, versatile, la pudeur l’est... Et cet exil de leur féminité servit de « chambre à soi » où librement énoncer. Une marge aux interdits et contraintes de la société où, malgré tout, créer. Et tirer de la retenue dans laquelle elles étaient cantonnées la force de la pudeur, l’efficacité du retrait.
520			_aViolette Leduc’s writing as an acting out. To be a woman and to write, from bastardy to authority To be a woman and to write has not always been obvious. When society identified women to the passivity of the child bearing function, how legitimately could a woman take a pen and actually write ? Under the authority of a man, whose family name she bears what of an act of authority ? Numerous are the ones who, so as to accomplish it, took their women identity away : anonymity, pseudonym, reserve of the feminine expression ... Such are women, versatile, so prudishness is... In addition, this femininity exile offered « a room of one’s own » where to carelessly speak out. A margin to society interdictions and restrains where, at last, one could create. Moreover, from the reserve in which she was held, the strength of decency, the effectiveness of reserve. Violette Leduc (1907-1972) ‘s acting is especially exemplary : her actual bastardy as a she-writer actualizing the identity problems of her gender, the decency she used when writing is twice fold. Her authority breaks through with the paradoxical intensity of her own reserve.
