La quête de la pureté relève de la haine de l’hétérogène que tout homme porte en soi et dont le juif a été le paradigme. La Shoah a été le crime de la spiritualité de l’homme. Pour autant ceux qui sont morts à Auschwitz ne sont pas morts comme hommes mais bien comme juifs. L’échec des Lumières fut somme toute de faire du semblable, l’identique. | ||

The aim of this was breaking away from the invisible God of the Jews to give Nazi art its full political reality and its capacity to fully show the visible sphere. The Holocaust was, then, man’s spiritual crime, but the people who died at Auschwitz did not die as men but as Jews.
