520 | _aThe humanities and social sciences (HSS) are increasingly interested in socio-environmental issues. However, institutional and discipline-related obstacles impede the development of a field of research dedicated to these issues. This essay, therefore, proposes a set of guidelines to support this development: 1) to create a “Business & Society” category in the academic rankings, 2) to upgrade journals in this field, 3) to promote specialized journals on socio-environmental issues, 4) to foster transdisciplinary discussions, and 5) to support disruptive knowledge. | ||
