After examining some of their characteristics (deconfessionalization, the mutiplication of studies and approaches, ever increasing erudition — which does not always keep up on a scientific level, etc. — this article concentrates on themes in full evolution : (1) the relationship of Paul to Judaism and Israel, (2) the Pauline doctrine of justification by faith, which still remains one of the principle, if not the center of major interest in present research. If the old paradigms have collapsed, one cannot say that a new one has really been put in place since the spread of positions still remains rather disparate. The presentation finishes with a brief question about the future of Pauline exegesis, called scientific. | ||
