520 _aFemale fluid discharges during sexual responses remain the subject of some debate and controversy. These fluids encompass vaginal lubrication, female ejaculation, squirting, and urinary incontinence, and have different anatomical origins. While the first three are signs of female sexual arousal, the last is an indicator of a urinary pathology. This article describes studies and data on the subject, and presents comparative data on the nature and composition of female sexual fluids. It concludes with clinical recommendations, including the use of more appropriate terminology, psycho-education for patients experience, and training for sexology professionals.
